Joe has been cast in a key role in season 4 of the show Justified.

From TVfanatic.com :

Joe will appear on multiple episodes of this FX drama as Billy St. Cyr, a local preacher who helps residents kick their drug habits. Look for the character to clash with Walton Goggins' Boyd because, well, he sells drugs.

HQ scan of Joe from the GI Joe Retaliation calendar

I have a HQ scan of Joe's character Mouse from the new GI Joe Retaliation calendar! When I saw that Mouse was featured in the calendar, I just had to have it! [You can buy your own calendar on Amazon here.]

On the original calendar image, there is a texture with black lines through every character's face and I didn't like how it looked. So I edited the lines out. Enjoy!

[I've scanned and edited this picture myself, so please do not remove the tag on the picture. thanks!]

A 30 second preview of "Coma" has been released

A&E has released a 30 second teaser of the show on their website here!

On the page, it also says "Coming Later This Summer." It was previously reported that the show would air in the Fall sometime. Hopefully an exact release date will be revealed soon. For now, keep checking back on A&E's page for Coma for updates in the coming weeks.

A&E's "Coma" mini series release date changed to Fall 2012

The mini series Coma that was scheduled to be released on the A&E network on May 28th, seems to have been moved to a Fall release Reelz.com reports.

It was reported back in December that the 4 hour mini series would premiere on Memorial Day 2012. It is unknown the reason for the move to a Fall broadcast.

No promotional materials for the show have been released yet, but since filming has been completed for some time now, within the coming months we should see production stills and previews for the show.

An exact release date is still unknown, but I will keep everyone updated with any news of the air date for the show.

GI Joe Retaliation release date moved to March 29th, 2013

The movie's release date has changed from June 29th, 2012 to March 29th, 2013 in order to convert the film into 3D.

Movies.com reports:

Part of this has to do with helping the film perform better internationally, but some of it may also have to do with the fact that G.I. Joe 2 would have had to go up against The Amazing Spider-Man, both of which would've had to share a very similar audience.

I'm very sad to hear that we will have to wait an entire year for GI Joe Retaliation. For now, we can just enjoy the trailers, posters, and movie stills as we wait for the film's release next March.

Joe is filming a new movie called "Dear Sidewalk"

Dear Sidewalk is a romantic comedy indie film that is currently filming in Austin. Here is the synopsis of the film from the Dear Sidewalk Facebook page:

DEAR SIDEWALK is the story of Gardner, a 24-year old mail carrier, who fantasizes about life beyond the sidewalks beneath his feet. His dreams of finding the perfect woman, achieving the perfect life, and becoming the hero of his own epic tale are both touching and hilarious. But overwhelmed by possibility and the fear of abandonment, he adheres to the comfort of his routine. He rigidly cultivates his philatelic obsessions in order to maintain a very small but safe, controlled world. Gardner’s co-workers and friends offer their own unique versions of advice and support along the way. His adoptive brother, Calvin, believes the secret to Gardner’s happiness is finding the right woman, but Calvin lacks the skill and Gardner the desire to make this a reality. This changes when he meets Paige, a provocative newly relocated divorceé on his route. His quarter-life crisis collides with her mid-life crisis and they form an intimate relationship based on this synchronicity. Together, they help each other confront their fears and try to find the lives they want to lead.

It is unknown the role Joe is playing, but I'm guessing he is the lead role, Gardner.

Check out this set picture of Joe (on the left) courtesy of Barcode Films' Facebook page:

You can check out the film's Twitter, Facebook, and official site for more info;

This project looks really cool and I can't wait to see the finished product!

GI Joe Retaliation is completed!

I've just seen on IMDb.com that the status of GI Joe Retaliation has gone from Post-Production to Completed!
Director Jon Chu also tweeted earlier today that he just got out of a scoring session with composer Henry Jackman. It certainly is exciting that the final touches are being put on GI Joe Retaliation. Only 40 more days until the movie is released!

First Kiss was a fan favorite at the Catalina Film Festival!

This past weekend, First Kiss played at the Catalina Film Festival. It was named a fan favorite by PressLA.com!

Beyond documentaries, the festival also serves as a hub for independent filmmakers and screenwriters. Highlighting both shorts and full-length features, the festival saw the world premiere of the comedic short First Kiss, a fan favorite throughout the weekend. Although only four minutes long the film tells the trials and tribulations of a couple that just can’t seem to get to the first kiss, the results are unexpected and hilarious.

The festival response for First Kiss has been very positive! I can't wait to finally see this short film. It should be released online soon.

You can also check out an interview with First Kiss director Charles Hood on the red carpet of the Catalina Film Festival here!

First Kiss will be shown at the Catalina Film Festival this Friday

The film makers are waiting until after the film's festival run to post the movie online. Currently, I have not heard any other festival news, so perhaps this means the film will be released online very soon!

Joe to attend the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner

This weekend, Joe will be a guest at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner! This will be the third year in a row that Joe has attended the event. You can check out pictures from last year's dinner in the Photos section.

If you are not familiar with the dinner, here is a small description from the WHCA site:
The dinner is traditionally attended by the President and First Lady as well as many other senior government officials and members of the press corps. Proceeds from the dinner go toward scholarships and awards aimed at supporting aspiring journalists and recognizing excellence in the profession.

Every year at the event, there is a brunch, as well as the dinner. Many celebrities attend the event every year. It's a great weekend and a great cause! This year, the dinner will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Hopefully there will be lots of new pictures from the weekend. I'm excited!

NEW GI Joe Retaliation trailer

NEW GI Joe Retaliation trailer TONIGHT!

Thanks to the heads up from Machinima, a new GI Joe trailer will premiere tonight at 3am EST, and 12am [midnight] PST.

NEW GI Joe Retaliation theatrical trailer to debut on May 16th

Thanks to the heads up from Hisstank, it appears that a new GI Joe trailer is on the way! The trailer is 2 minutes and 24 seconds long. It is likely that it will be released before another Paramount movie titled "The Dictator" which is out on May 16th.

Hopefully we will see some new shots of Joe's character Mouse in the new trailer!

GI Joe Retaliation will be out in theaters on June 29th.

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Joe's character "Mouse" in GI Joe Retaliation WILL have an action figure

From information I've gathered across several different websites including Hisstank.com, it seems that Mouse will have an action figure after all! At several toy fairs, many new action figures from the movie have been revealed, including Mouse. Mouse's action figure will be part of the "GI Joe Night Ops Showdown." It is unlikely that it will be released before the movie though, as the Night Ops Showdown figures are part of a Wave 2 Battle Pack, which means they will be released later than the main character figures in the movie such as Roadblock, Snake Eyes, and Joe Colton. There are not any pictures of the Mouse action figure online yet.

This won't be the first time that Joe will have his own action figure...his character Tim Murphy in Jurassic Park did have an action figure, but it looked nothing like him. Hopefully the Mouse action figure will bear some resemblance to Joe!

GI Joe Retaliation hits theaters on June 29th, 2012.

Jurassic Park will be re-released into theaters in 3D in 2013!

On July 19th, 2013 Jurassic Park will be back on the big screen! And it will be in 3D!
Back in December, Jurassic Park producer Kathleen Kennedy hinted at a 3D re-release, but said if they were going make it 3D, that they wanted it to be done right. Director Steven Spielberg and director of photography Janusz Kaminski will go through the entire film and decide what will be converted into 3D. It is very reassuring to know that Steven Spielberg will be involved in this process!

So be sure to go see Joe on the big screen next July!

"Mazzello for Jurassic Park 4" project

As many of you know, Steven Spielberg has announced plans for a fourth Jurassic Park movie.

I strongly believe that Joe should be in the 4th movie. I think he would be wonderful as adult Tim. Joe has even expressed interest in being in the 4th movie. So I’ve decided to get a little campaign going…

With Mazzello for Jurassic Park 4, I’m hoping to get the word out in the Jurassic Park community about our hopes to have Joe in this movie. I’ve also created a Facebook page for this cause.
So “like” the page and get the word out! :]

"Coma" TV Pilot will not be shown on March 1st

IMDB.com says the Pilot for Coma has a release date of March 1st, however the TV schedule on the A&E channel's website does not have Coma on their schedule for March 1st.

I'm not sure why IMDB has that date listed for the Pilot. The main page for Coma on IMDB under "release dates" says May 28th, 2012, so that is the actual date when the first episode will air.

Round up on Joe's most recent projects

There have been a few updates over the last few weeks on Joe's latest film roles, so here is a post about the status of each project:

Coma (2012)
Joe has completed filming for this TV miniseries. His character name and role is still unknown. The show is set to premiere on the A&E Network on May 28th, 2012....two episodes will air that night that are each an hour long. The following night on May 29th, the final two episodes will air which are also each an hour long.

GI Joe Retaliation (2012)
Filming is complete and the movie is in Post-Production. You can watch the full trailer HERE. Joe appears in this trailer at the beginning. There is also a TV spot HERE in which Joe appears very briefly alongside The Rock. A French trailer was also released, but Joe does not appear in that trailer. A line of action figures from the movie have been revealed, however Joe's character Mouse does not have an action figure.

First Kiss (2011)
This is a 4 minute short film that Joe stars in along with Brenda Song who co-starred with Joe in The Social Network. It should be online around the end of March. You can listen to a track from the soundtrack titled "Running" right HERE on composer Kevin Blumenfeld's website.

Allison (2011)
This is also a 4 minute short film by the same director of First Kiss. It should also be online around the end of March.

Check out pictures from GI Joe, First Kiss, and Allison on the PHOTOS page.

Hasbro reveals GI Joe Retaliation movie toys

Joe's character Mouse is not one of the action figures shown here on Hasbro's site, but the website says 14 more movie line items are to be revealed, so there is a small chance Mouse could still have some kind of movie merchandise. I'll be sure to let everyone know if there is any merchandise related to Joe!

GI Joe Retaliation tv spot to air during Super Bowl?

Thanks to the heads up from Generals Joes, I learned that several studios, including Paramount, have lined up advertising spots during the Super Bowl. It seems likely that Paramount will show a new tv spot or preview for GI Joe Retaliation. When the first GI Joe movie came out, a 1 minute teaser was released with all new clips during the Super Bowl. Hopefully, if a new preview is released, Joe will be in it! Though nothing has been confirmed yet, industry insiders are sure that GI Joe will have a spot among the ads on February 5th. I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything else.

GI Joe Retaliation will be in theaters on June 29th.
